The studies

Der duale Master of Business Administration (MBA) richtet sich sowohl an Bachelor-Absolventen fachfremder Studiengänge, die fehlende BWL-Kenntnisse nachholen möchten und eine gehobene Managementposition anstreben als auch an bereits Berufstätige, die sich zur Führungskraft weiterqualifizieren möchten. Die Studieninhalte erstrecken sich über die gesamte Bandbreite der Betriebswirtschaftslehre und decken aktuelle Themen aus den Bereichen Digitale Transformation, Leadership Skills sowie Ideen- und Innovationsmanagement ab. Die Studierenden können sich zudem über verschiedene Wahlmodule individuell spezialisieren. Zur Auswahl stehen Agiles Organisations- und Kundenmanagement, Entrepreneurship und Business Development sowie das Forschungsprojekt Innovation und Management.

Die theoretischen Studieninhalte werden über speziell aufbereitete Studienhefte vermittelt und durch multimediale Vermittlungsformen, wie Online-Vorlesungen, Online-Tutorien oder Online-Übungen ergänzt. Ausgewählte Module sehen Präsenzphasen vor, die den Studierenden wichtiges Praxiswissen vermitteln und den Austausch mit Branchenexperten sowie Kommilitonen ermöglichen.

Studienbeginn: 01.10.2023 und 01.04.2024

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or comparable degree with a focus on business administration or communication management.

  • Practical experience in a company or organization related to communication.

  • Proof of 20 ECTS points from economic courses (can also be acquired via bridging courses).

  • Self-starter with superb written and oral communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • A demonstrable track record of personally identifying, cultivating and raising significant private and public funds for programmes from governments, foundations, private institutions and individuals
  • An ability to undertake frequent travel globally.
  • Excellent knowledge of the role of media as a key component of civil society. 


  • Help swiftly develop and execute fundraising plans, from public and private sources.
  • Assist in supporting all aspects of the development department, including programme development, fundraising and marketing campaigns and identifying and managing international partnership opportunities
  • Work closely with the Director of Development to enhance outreach efforts and build donor bases.
  • Manage and execute projects globally across a range of initiatives and objectives.


Significant progressive, and proven, experience over three to seven years in successfully developing and managing all aspects of complex fundraising/development programmes, preferably in an international organization, including:

  • Developing fundraising strategies and successfully implement them.
  • Raising funds from governments, institutions, foundations and individuals.
  • Running successful project and annual campaigns.
  • Managing high-profile events.
  • Strategic thinker and planner, able to lead and engage in planning processes and set priorities; able to think critically, objectively and analytically.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of budgeting with income and expenditure budgets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook essential.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Adept at crafting clear and persuasive proposals, donor correspondence and other promotional and marketing materials.
  • Experience building, or supervising, the creation and use of management tools, including databases and fundraising research engines.
  • Understanding of, and demonstrable experience in, web-based marketing to engage institutional partners and donors.
  • Keen eye, and knack, for leading the development of key partnerships to enhance and raise organizational profile.
  • Able to work under pressure and keep a good sense of humour.
  • Willingness, and ability, to travel nationally and internationally approximately 25% of their time.

“Plus” Qualifications

  • Experience building viral marketing campaigns to attract donors.
  • Adept at working with social media tools to conduct innovative outreach campaigns.
  • Understanding of branding techniques and applications.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of communications principles and practice.
  • Fluency in another European or Asian language preferred.
  • History working with non-profit advocacy organizations, particularly international media and/or human rights.
